Nick Cristoforo is a composer, copyist, and trumpeter from Patchogue, New York. His work reflects his focus on small details and being present in the moment. After graduating with a degree in Music Composition from SUNY Fredonia, he began his master’s at Ohio University, where he is the Graduate Assistant for their Music and Dance Library. He’s written a variety of music for many ensembles, often by taking disparate sources and combining them into something new.

Previously having done sound design and incidental music for plays, Nick enjoys arranging, orchestrating, and obsessing over music notation. In 2026 he was selected as a finalist for The American Pops Orchestra’s
2nd Annual Composition Competition, and from 2022-2025 he served as the PR Chair for SUNY Fredonia’s Ethos New Music Society.

Nick considers himself to be a good (albeit slow) driver, and loves running, swimming, and going on walks with his dog, Lucy.
